What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is the physical act of applying pressure to the feet and hand with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques.
The feet and hands are divided into a system of zones and reflex areas. These reflexes mirror the anatomical arrangement of organs and glands of the body. By applying Reflexology pressure techniques to the Reflexes on the hands and feet; corresponding organs, glands and tissues are affected.
At Reflexions you will gain insight into the history and development of Reflexology, as well as the conceptual theory and application of this healing technique.
The School
REFLEXIONS School of Reflexology is situated on the edge of beautiful Cape Town – adjacent to the Devils Peak Nature Reserve. The venue can accommodate up to 12 students per Reflexology course. The School was founded by Lulu Beyers, a multi-disciplinary practitioner.
Teacher
Lulu Beyers has been a holistic practitioner for over 12 years. She runs White Lotus, a successful practice in Cape Town offering Reflexology, Shiatsu and Deep Tissue Massage. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Natural Medicine, and is approaching the completion of a 5 year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (incorporating Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine).
Lulu is a registered ITEC Reflexology Practitioner and teacher. She received her qualification from a London-based Reflexology school.
She practiced at a renowned Reflexology clinic in London (Chelsea) for 2 years before bringing her practice to Cape Town in 2008.
The urge to teach came naturally, as she was flooded with eager requests to teach her particular style of Reflexology.
